Dear Readers At enz®, we make every effort for continuous development of our innovative strength – with the aim of presenting you with new, innovative products on a regular basis. Our focus is always on one thing: Creating solutions that bring you real added value.
In this issue of the newsletter, we discuss our supplementary KBR nozzle with more thrust. We would also like to take the opportunity to discuss our MONROJET nozzles (MJ nozzles) in more detail.
We look forward to supporting you in your cleaning projects with innovative products and well thought-out solutions in the future. Kind regards, Your enz® Nozzle Team | | | Product News for Pipe Cleaners | | | If you want to remove deposits such as grease, oil or soap residues in pipes of 18 – 60 mm (0.7 – 2.4"), our KBR nozzles are the right choice. Our range has now been supplemented by another KBR nozzle in which thrust was increased (flow: 36 l/min at 100 bar, 9.5gpm at 1,450 psi). The additional thrust shows its strengths, especially with many branches and arches – for example, in the kitchen and toilet area: This allows you to clean faster and more efficiently. The compact design of Ø16 mm (0.6") ensures optimum curve mobility. The high-quality hardening process ensures longevity of the nozzle. The KBR nozzle with extended thrust is available in both a G ¼" BSPP (04.016BS0813) and a ¼" NPT version (04.016BS0813N). | | Suitable for this is the high-pressure hose C177-30 (UK), which allows a flow rate of up to 40 l/min (11 US gpm – US gallons per minute). This will allow you to get the most out of the new KBR nozzle. Compared to mechanical cleaning, the use of water significantly reduces the risk of material damage. | | | Industrial Cleaner Testimonial | | | Surface cleaning and preparation with MONROJET nozzles MONROJET (MJ nozzle) – One nozzle. Many possibilities. Whether concrete, scale, paint or rubber residues – MONROJET nozzles (UK) (also called orbital nozzles) remove even stubborn deposits with impressive efficiency. The MJ nozzle handles even demanding applications such as cleaning ship hulls or hydro excavation (see the video here). | | Thanks to their compact and robust design, the MJ nozzles are designed for operating pressures of 500 bar - 2500 bar (7,250 psi - 36,000 psi). They can be used flexibly with lances, jet guns and robot arms. The nozzles are available in versions with all common connection threads. The MJ4ST variant is even designed for water temperatures of up to 150°C (up to 300°F) – ideal, for example, for removing chewing gum residues. The nozzles are also convincing in terms of service: Wear parts can be replaced quickly and without tools on site, with minimal effort. The interchangeable repair kits (UK) reduce downtime and increase economic efficiency. | | Multi-jet nozzles (e.g., SC1500) (UK) work with multiple water jets and clean quickly, widely and comprehensively – ideally suited for the efficient processing of large surfaces. In contrast, the mono-jet nozzle (e.g., MONROJET nozzle (UK)) relies on a single, highly concentrated water jet. The result: powerful, punctual cleaning with a significantly higher depth effect. The depth effect is clearly illustrated by the following picture: | | Sapphire inserts with and without flow straighteners In the high pressure range of 1000 - 3000 bar (15,000 - 43,000 psi), we often rely on stainless steel sapphire inserts (UK). Compared to conventional materials such as ceramic or steel, they offer significantly higher performance (water jetting density), longer service lives and are ideal for use with fresh water. Our sapphire inserts are available in two versions: With flow straighteners or as standard version (without flow straighteners). The jet straighteners ensure that the water jet remains precise and focused over a significantly longer distance – for maximum depth effect and increased efficiency (higher water jetting density). The example below illustrates this effect impressively: While the water jet of the standard version begins to disperse after about 6 cm (2.3"), with jet straighteners it remains bundled up to a 12 cm (4.6") distance. | | | Tips for Using the MONROJET Nozzles | | | To ensure that your MONROJET nozzle has a long service life, we will give you important tips and instructions for use. | | Correct designation of the parts | | Assembly Dry or insufficiently greased threads can cause damage and high wear – as can be seen in the left picture. In order to avoid expensive repairs, all threads should be greased cleanly with each installation. It is important that the nozzle body and the rotor remain free of grease. | | Normal wear and tear on the rotor It is recommended to replace the rotor before the plastic is completely worn. If the rotor is worn too much, the nozzle housing may be damaged! Our recommendation according to operating pressure: At > 1,000 bar / 14,500 psi: Daily check of the individual parts At <1,000 bar / 14,500 psi: Weekly check of the individual parts | | | Correct positioning of the rotor Incorrect positioning of the rotor can lead to rapid wear of the rotor. Positioning according to the picture is essential. | | | Alignment at start-up Pressurization must be progressive (slow), keep the lance down to achieve a clean seal between the rotor and the seat. After the MJ nozzle is in operation, it can be moved to other positions. | | Correct positioning of the rotor tip The rotor tip must always be inserted into the cone. After installing the rotor, the rear housing part may only be tightened hand-tight (without tools). | | Repair kit for MONROJET nozzles (MJ nozzles) With our repair kits (UK), you can get the most out of your nozzle – cost-effective, efficient and sustainable. Instead of an expensive new purchase, you only replace wear parts and are ready to start again in no time. This saves time, reduces downtime and at the same time protects the environment. | | RO-KA-TECH 2025 RO-KA-TECH 2025 is already history – we would like to thank you very much for the numerous exciting discussions and the great interest.
